    District Governor’s visit to Navan.

District Governor for 2010/2011 Wes Armstrong made his first official trip to the Navan Rotary Club on Tuesday night 13th July 2010. It is the custom for the D.G to visit each club in the district between each July and December.

Sylvester Rowe, President Elect, who was deputising for President Peter O’Reilly said that the Navan Rotary Club were very pleased to welcome the D.G. on his first official visit. The D.G. met with the Club Officers and Committee Chairs before the Club meeting. One of the purposes of such visits is for the D.G. to listen to the Club Leadership and gain a better understanding of their Club. To provide helpful and friendly advice to Club Officers as requested and to answer questions about Rotary International and the District.

Wes Armstrong while born in Monaghan, is also a Past President of Coleraine Rotary Club, said that he enjoyed the fellowship in the Navan Club and spoke in glowing terms about the Navan Clubs achievements and standing in District 1160.
