O'Mahonys 0-13 Ratoath 0-5
The Brews Hill side made the early running and led by 0-7 to 0-1 at the break, but were grateful to a fine save by 'keeper Mark Brennan from Kevin Boyle's penalty kick in first-half stoppage time.
O'Mahonys moved eight points clear shortly after the restart, but a brief Ratoath rally, with Robbie Madden and Donal Kirwan prominent, saw the junior side half the deficit heading into the final quarter.
Sean Kelly's charges finished out the hour with a brace of points from Henry Finnegan and Lee Russell and might have won by a wider margin but for passing up a number of gilt edged scoring chances.

Loughran's hat-trick sees O'Mahonys through to Decider
O'Mahonys 4-12
Dunboyne 2-7
Despite having to field without Henry Finnegan through injury, a much
improved performance and a hat-trick of goals from Thomas Loughran
sent O'Mahonys into the decider against Seneschalstown on Sunday week.
Patrick Smyth may have mistakingly sent the ball over the bar early in the game
when a goal was there for the taking, but true to his form he later

O'Mahonys 1-10
Na Fianna 0-13
O Mahonys will count themselves unlucky as they led from the 14th minute only to see the winners score a late goal to give them a one point victory.
Both sides swapped points in the opening minutes with Mark Coffey and Davy Reilly on target for the South Meath side to leave the scores level by the 14th minute at 2 points apiece. However the Navan side scored a well worked goal in the 19th minute and a further two points in quick succession to open a gap between the sides. Further points from Na Fianna’s Eoin Reilly and Donal Curran saw the half time scores at 0-4 to 1-5 in favour of O Mahonys.
Na Fianna came more into the match after the interval. A goal from a Davy Reilly penalty in the 2nd minute narrowed the gap. Points were exchanged before O Mahonys struck again in the 24th minute with another goal to open a four point gap again. Na Fianna rallied and points from Curran (2) , Davy Reilly and Mark Coffey saw them just two points in arrears going into injury time. Deep into extra time Na Fianna were awarded a 65’ and the sliothar was lobbed into the O Mahonys square and ended up in the back of the net without anyone apparently touching it and there was time for no more play.

Injury Time Goal Knocks Out O'Mahonys
Rathmolyon 2-9
O'Mahonys 2-8
Despite enjoying a 2-7 to 0-4 interval lead, thanks to goals from Donal Hogan and Derek McMullen and having a point to spare at the end of normal time O'Mahonys lost out when two minutes into injury time Rathmolyon had a goal from Kevin Fagan.
Fagan was on hand to finish a shot to the net after a point effort from a free struck the top of the upright and he blasted the rebound to the net.
Ciaran Dunphy was quick to reply with a free but seconds later the same player sent a shot wide of the mark from the 45 meter range to leave the 2006 champions winners by a single point.
This was a most enjoyable and entertaining game but O'Mahonys will rue the large number of wides they had in the first half as well as the loss of fullforward Derek McMullen who was red carded in the second half.
Scorers for O'Mahonys; D.Hogan and D.McMullen (1-0) each,C.Dunphy (0-7),J.Burke (0-1).

Senior Football Championship
03 Aug 2006
Despite clocking up 13 wides O’Mahonys got the better of Simonstown in an SFC Group A clash at Pairc Tailteann on Wednesday, when the merits of the current system of running the premier football competition in the county were again called into question
Navan O’Mahonys ....... 0-8 Simonstown Gaels ...... 0-6
Apart from a brief spell in the second quarter, after Shane O’Rourke landed a long range feee, the Brews Hill outfit were never headed and secured their fourth win from as many outings with a late point - at the hospital end - from substitute Stephen MacGabhann. O’Mahonys created the only real goal chance of note midway through the second period, but Thomas Loughran’s effort was stopped by Simonstown netminder, Gary Lynch. With the apparent assistance of the elements in the opening half, O’Mahonys should been more than 0-5 to 0-3 ahead at the break and needed a hat-trick of points in the run-up to half-time from Gary O’Brien to forge that slender interval advantage. Henry Finnegan extended their lead on the restart but Simonstown cut the margin to the minimum on two occasions in a very poor second-half, but O’Mahonys held on. O’Mahonys’ remaining group fixtures are against Duleek, Summerhill and Blackhall Gaels while Simonstown have games to come against St Patrick’s, Duleek and Kilmainhamwood.
O’Mahonys - M. Brennan; C. Reilly, N. Dunne, D. Moran; C. McGuinness, N. McKeigue, L. Russell; P. Smyth (0-1), M. Ward; G. O’Brien (0-3), H. Finnegan (0-1), S. Keating; D. Bray (0-1), T. Loughran, S. Bray (0-1). Subs - R. Hogan, D. Murtagh, S. MacGabhann (0-1), D O’Toole. Simonstown - G Lynch; M O’Rourke, C McGrath, B O’Donnell; C Kenny, H Traynor, N Kearney; S O’Neill, P Meade; S Kennedy, S O’Rourke (0-1), S Carr; W McCarthy (0-4), E Kelly (0-1), J Lunney. David Bray's goal in the latter stages set O'Mahonys up for a narrow win this Feis Cup opener at Seneschalstown.
O'Mahonys ............. 2-11 Seneschalstown ...... 2-9
Neville Dunne, Lee Russell, Mark Ward, Henry Finnegan and substitute Gary O'Brien were also prominent as the town side recovered from a 1-5 to 2-5 interval deficit. O'Mahonys got off to a flyer with an early Paddy Smyth goal but Seneschalstown replied with two of their own and held that advantage until the latter stages. Neville Dunne, Lee Russell, Mark Ward and Henry Finnegan performed best to the town side. O'Mahonys - M. Brennan; C. Reilly, N. Dunne, D. Moran; C. McGuinness, N. McKeigue, L. Russell; M. Ward (0-2), S. MacGabhann; D. Bray (1-1), P. Smyth (1-0), H. Finnegan (0-4); D. Murtagh, T. Loughran, S. Bray (0-2). Subs - G. O'Brien (0-2) for MacGabhann, S. Conaty for Murtagh.

The Summer camp at O'Mahonys this year was confined to hurling which was a change from other years when it was a combined hurling and football camp. Consequently the attendance figures were down somewhat on previous years. With a string of fine saves goalkeeper Marcus Brennan was the star player as hosts O’Mahonys resisted a strong Skryne rally in this well contested Division 1 FL clash on Saturday evening.
O’Mahonys 1-10 Skryne 0-11
The county under 21 netminder came to his side’s rescue with a fine stop from David McGoldrick in the run up to half-time and on two further occasions in the second period as the visitors whittled down a seven points deficit to the minimum.
Midway through the second-half he turned a Kevin Mulvaney piledriver round the post at the expense of a ’45’ and later made a telling reflex save from Felim O’Rourke.
Paddy Smyth’s fisted goal was the difference between the sides as the Brews Hill side turned around with a 1-4 to 0-4 advantage before going 1-9 to 0-5 clear at the end of the third quarter with scores from Trevor Ratty (two), Gary O’Brien, Lee Russell and Smyth (free).
After Skryne player-manager Mick O’Dowd moved to centre-forward and the SFC holders won more of the breaks around midfield with John Quinn and McGoldrick also prominent.
Felim O’Rourke landed three points from play as the Tara side trimmed the margin to the minimum before Paddy Smyth secured the spoils - and put a large deposit on the retention of O’Mahonys top flight status - with a late pointed free

17 Mar 2005
The Oncology Unit at Our Lady of Lourdes, Hospital, Drogheda was the main beneficiary as Simonstown Gaels claimed the Heaney Cup for the first time since its inaugural year of 1999 with an easy win over weakened hosts, Navan O’Mahonys on Wednesday night.
Simonstown ……. 1-11 O’Mahonys 0-3

Colm O’Rourke’s charges might have enjoyed a more substantial lead but the for efforts of Neville Dunne and Kevin Smith to keep the score down as the hosts were hampered by the absence of several key players through injury and involvement with the county under 21 football panel. Henry Finnegan posted O’Mahonys sole first-half score in the 23rd minute and David Hosie doubled their tally from a long range free on the restart. The latter sent another similar effort to the Simonstown net, but it was correctly crossed off by referee Donal Smyth for a ‘square ball’ infringement. The home side were forced to finish with 14-men after Dunne departed injured and the verdict was sealed long before Kelly chalked up the only goal ten minutes from time after blocking an attempted clearance by O’Mahonys’ ‘keeper, Keith Lane.

All-Ireland Féile na nGael
27 Jun 2004
Five Finals at O'Mahonys
O'Mahonys was the venue for five of the Féile na nGael finals on Saturday 26th June. Things looked bleak at 7.30am on Saturday morning with heavy rain pouring down as our personnel met to take up their assignments for the day.The weather improved just half way through the parade which started off from the County Council car park at Railway Street at 10.30am The participating teams were well and truly soaked by this stage but it did not subdue their enthuasism as they marched past the reviewing stand at Market Square to be given a great welcome by the spectators.Glorious sunshine prevailed for the remainder of the day much to the relief of all concerned and a truly great day was had by all.. Many of those involved with the hurling and camogie teams who played in O'Mahonys were high in their praise of the excellent condition of the pitch and of the arrangements generally. Well done to all our members involved who worked so hard over the past week and on the day, to ensure that everything was as it should be, on Féile day. Five finals were also played simultaneously in Páirc Tailteann.
